OUR STORY

Kwanderosa started as a city boy’s gift to his country girl.

 

What began as a small farm and a shared dream quickly became something much bigger than either of us ever imagined.

 

One animal turned into two. Then came a rescue. Then another. Before we knew it, Kwanderosa had become a place where animals who needed a second chance could find a forever home. Today, nearly half of the animals on our farm are rescues, each with their own story and each deeply loved.

 

But somewhere along the way, we realized Kwanderosa wasn’t just changing the lives of animals—it was changing the lives of people too.

 

Children who had never met a pig discovered how gentle they can be. Families slowed down, laughed together, and traded screens for fresh air. Friends gathered around the pasture. Visitors found peace in the quiet rhythms of farm life and experienced God’s incredible creation in a hands-on way.

 

That became our mission.

 

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy, peace, and wonder of farm life, regardless of income. That’s why our family tours (10 guests or fewer) are offered by donation only. Every visit helps us care for our rescued animals while making these experiences accessible to everyone.
