When visiting Kwanderosa Farm, we recommend wearing clothes that can get dirty, sturdy closed-toed shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. Our weather can be hotter, colder, and windier than surrounding areas, so dressing in layers is a good idea. Don't forget to bring water to stay hydrated during your visit!
When our first daughter was born, I spent many late nights rocking and feeding her while watching old TV reruns. One of my favorites was a western called Bonanza, set on a ranch named “The Ponderosa.” Since our last name is Kwan, I jokingly began calling our yard “The Kwanderosa.” The name stuck, and when we later moved to our farm, we knew there could be no other choice. And so, here we are—the Kwanderosa.
